Who We Are
Established in 1950, the "Sindh Maharashtrian Society" has been dedicated for over 75 years to providing quality education to children from lower and lower-middle-class backgrounds and underprivileged sections. Founded by social workers, the late Mr. Raghunath Vishram Rane and Mrs. Meerabai Patkar, with efforts from the late Mr. Govind Jadhav, the trust was registered in 1955.
Post-partition, some Sindh province citizens settled in Mumbai, while many moved to Ulhasnagar. To ensure children received education, the first Marathi school, Sindh Maharashtrian Elected Society, was established in Maratha Section 32, Ulhasnagar.
Today, Sindh Maharashtrian Society offers education from Montessori to the tenth grade, benefiting around 2,000 students under the guidance of 70 trained teachers and staff. The trust's management reflects a tradition of selfless service and democratic work, overseen by experienced professionals.
The trust focuses on holistic student development with libraries, labs, computer centers, and smart classrooms equipped with modern technology. Children of all castes, religions, and ethnicities are admitted, ensuring no student is deprived of education due to financial constraints.

Furthermore, the development plans set by the newly elected executive committee for 2024-2029 signal a promising future, aiming to elevate the school to greater heights
